AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The adventure centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
